Sean C. Fahy
Director, Wealth Management
Senior Wealth Advisor
Sean began with McLeod Young Weir (ScotiaMcLeod's predecessor firm)
in 1981 as an Investment Executive after completing a Bachelor of
Commerce degree at U.B.C. In 1987 he took on the additional responsibilities
of managing various Branch offices within ScotiaMcLeod and was appointed
Vice President of the firm. In 1991, he elected to focus 100% of his
attention on his clients and relinquished the title of Branch Manager.
In 1995 he was named a Director of ScotiaMcLeod. In addition, he has
extensive knowledge in options hedging and specializes in developing
these strategies within a client's portfolio depending on suitability.
The Fahy team is proud to have achieved Chairman's Council consistently
year after year, the highest plateau for ScotiaMcLeod advisors.
Sean's conservative investment approach is one which employs
diversification in three main areas; asset allocation, geographical
diversification and diversification of investment management
style (growth, value, small cap, etc.). Extensive use of sophisticated
asset allocation models are effectively utilized.
"The most important aspect of our job is to understand
our clients investment and financial goals and to tailor a portfolio
to fit their risk profile." Over 25 years of investment
expertise has resulted in a focused and disciplined approach
to money management in either managed assets (mutual funds, wrap
accounts etc.) or fee based individual segregated portfolios.
